Visual Continuity
When the world becomes real, it should look like itself.
Dai Novel generates illustrations from the same Codex that drives the story. Scene art can use world style, current prose, entity artwork, character references, and the previous scene.
What the image system uses
Scene generation can include:
- World style and genre.
- Current time.
- The scene's prose.
- Canonical entity images for characters and places in the scene.
- The previous scene as a visual reference.
Entity portraits and environments can be generated from Codex fields such as appearance, description, race, and world backstory. Once an entity has artwork, later scenes can reuse it instead of inventing a new face.
What this is for
The goal is continuity:
- The same character should remain recognizable.
- Places should feel like the same geography.
- The world's visual tone should hold from page to page.
Creators can also generate or upload cover art, Discover banners, gallery images, maps, entity designs, and starting-scene illustrations inside the World Editor.
Honest limits
Dai Novel does not claim state-of-the-art image quality or guaranteed identity lock on every generation. Images are reference-guided. Creators and players can retry or re-imagine a scene when the result misses the mark.
The direction is clear: illustrations grounded in the same world, not a disconnected picture generator.
