World Editor
The World Editor is the main workspace for building a Codex, whether you are starting from an idea or refining an existing world.
Everything in the editor points at the same world model: canon, cast, relationships, geography, gameplay, images, story phases, and the public page readers will see.
Left sidebar
The sidebar organizes the world:
- World Profile: premise, gameplay definitions, and map.
- Presentation: public landing-page content and media.
- Entities: characters, places, factions, items, and other world data.
- Phases: story-state graph and progression.
- Write: story-writing workspace associated with the world.
Beta: Write is still being tested. It can create short stories or longer, phase-based stories with AI assistance. Review outlines and chapters carefully because the controls and generated results may change.
Use the world selector above the sidebar to move between owned worlds.
Center workspace
The center changes with the selected section. It contains forms, entity details, images, relations, maps, phase graphs, and presentation editing.
Pencil controls open editable values. Confirm the field edit when finished, then save the overall Codex from the header.
Right AI panel
World Helper can receive the selected world or entity as context. It explains, drafts, reviews, and proposes structured changes. The panel can be resized or hidden when you need more editing space.
AI does not silently overwrite the Codex. Proposals stay inspectable.
Save and review
The header indicates unsaved work. Use Review Changes to inspect pending differences, then Save to write the current Codex.
Save before leaving the editor or starting a publish operation.
Publish
Publish validates the Codex, saves pending changes, and opens the versioned snapshot flow. Follow Presentation and Publishing for required content.
Built-in tutorial
The editor tutorial provides guided create and explore paths for World Profile, Characters, Places and Map, Relationships, Gameplay, World Phases, and Publish. Use it when you want guidance attached directly to controls.
