Premise Architect
Premise Architect expands an author idea into a coherent World Profile. It is a planning tool, not a one-click world replacement.
Start with a rough idea or an incomplete Codex. Ask it to fill missing structure and preserve the parts you already chose.
Before you begin
Write one or two sentences containing:
- The central fantasy or speculative idea.
- The conflict or system that creates repeated pressure.
- The desired tone.
Review any existing premise fields first. Ask the Architect to preserve authored material that should not change.
What the Architect develops
The workflow can develop:
- A readable world name.
- A central proposition and tonal direction.
- Linked foreground and background story layers.
- Three to five systemic Hidden Truths.
- Foundational world backstory.
- World Rules with costs and limits.
- Detail Instruction for choice and consequence.
- Gameplay vocabulary, ranks, economy, and power references.
- Starting Time and genre tags.
- One verifiable book-level objective.
Review the draft
Reject or revise a draft when:
- The foreground and background feel unrelated.
- Hidden Truths depend on the protagonist being present.
- A world rule has no price or visible consequence.
- Gameplay references undefined variables.
- The objective is vague, such as "become stronger."
- The result reads like a chapter outline instead of world structure.
Apply in confirmed chunks
A full premise is a large edit. Review and apply narrow sections rather than replacing the entire World Profile without inspection.
After the premise is stable, use Phase Architect to decompose its objective into story stages.
